Liam Henry is a photographer based in Leeds.
His work is mainly based around music and musicians based in Leeds who are involved in the underground D.I.Y scene.
I felt that his work was appropriate for this exhibition as it visually reflects the D.I.Y mentality that this exhibition is about.
This is the email conversation I had with Liam.

Articulate invite you to take part in an exhibition with a difference.
Inspired by the D.I.Y ethic that seems to epitomise both the art and music scene in Leeds, we will be hosting an exhibition in a home. We feel that your work contributes greatly to this image of Leeds as a city where people create their own opportunities. In order to fully demonstrate the resourcefulness and ingenuity of artists and collectives in Leeds we are looking to bring as many of these people as possible together in our one night exhibition, and we would like you to come and exhibit some of your photography work.
The exhibition will take place in early to mid June (we will aim to set a date which is convenient for everyone involved) .
You will be given one day to prepare and set up the room of your choice and the exhibition will take place the following evening. We are aiming to fill every room in the house with artists’ work, including the kitchen, bathroom and basement! Overall there are nine rooms so feel free to recommend other artists or collectives working in the Leeds area.
This is a unique opportunity to express your originality in unusual surroundings, alongside other talented artists from out wonderful city!
We look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible,
Articulate.

Excellent!
It will be great to have you on board.
We are just waiting for other people to get back in touch and then we will set some dates for when this will happen.

I just thought aswell, my project is called "at home" which is a series of portraits of people in their own home, perfect. If i can ill bagsy the living room! ha.
I also have a friend that was quite interested in this exhibition, he is a photographer that specialises in urban exploration, you may have seen his series "discover hidden leeds". Here is his website.

Speak later!

After looking at James Lester work I felt that he would also be a good addition to the exhibition.
I particularly like his documentation of derelict buildings.

Hi Joe,
Thanks for the info. It sounds like a grand idea and yes, I would be very interested.
What would you need from me? My work mainly comes framed in 12x16 frames but being photography, the presentation is adaptable to the situation.
Are there any thoughts on hanging times, and take down times?
Thanks again,
James
